Newsletter June 2017

Dear Parents and Carers
It is that time of year when we say a fond farewell to our fantastic group of Year 11 students.  They have all worked tremendously hard to complete their final exams and we are extremely proud of the hard work and excellent conduct they have shown throughout.  All of the boys go on to exciting placements next year.  Nico will be heading to the Isle of Wight where he will take a course to become a personal fitness trainer.  Both Richard and Joseph will be embarking on a Performing Arts course at Chichester College whilst Josh with undertake a Business Studies Course also at Chichester College. Both Jack and Olly will continue with their horticultural careers at Brinsbury and Sparshott respectively.  We all wish them every success and happiness as they move on to further their education.
It looks like Mr Tognerelli and Mrs Neollier and the team of boys have once again picked the right week for the Tall Ships Challenge with excellent weather predicted over the coming days.  They will be leaving on Monday 19th June to meet the Tall Ships staff and Challenger Yacht. We hope they all enjoy the experience and are taking a lot of sun cream!
The boys are all every excited at meeting our chosen guide dogs during assembly this week and we are all looking forward to the Sponsored Walk on Monday 26th June.  A huge thank you to Mrs Watters and Ms Bowen for working so closely in partnership with Guide Dogs for the Blind.   We are in the process of changing our website and would really appreciate your views before we ‘go live’.  If you have an opportunity to take a look at the new format and give us feedback on what you would like to see on the new website, we would be very appreciative.  It can be found on, we would welcome all feedback.   Finally, I would like to thank the PACT team, Helen Betteridge, Keeli Bennett, Stacey Wheatley, Lorraine Northridge and Ange Costello for their hard work in ensuring the Summer Fayre was such a huge success.  We raised an amazing £880, thank you ladies and their supportive partners for your dedication and kindness towards the boys.
We hope you are all enjoying this mini heatwave but please remember to send in sunscreen, hats and water bottles for the boys so we can ensure they are safety aware.
Mrs Lynda Butt
