Littlegreen Hub at Chichester College
The transition between school and college can be an extremely difficult one for young people, so at Littlegreen School we focus on making the transition to college and adult life as successful and exciting as possible.
Key Stage 4 students have the opportunity to spend two days in our Littlegreen provision at Chichester College and three days a week at Littlegreen School working towards formal qualifications.
Littlegreen students have the chance to improve their social and communication skills in the wider world, as well as gaining subject-specific knowledge on the vocational courses of their choice. Many are working towards recognised qualifications in practical subjects such as Motor Vehicles, Sports and Construction. Students attend vocational courses at both the Chichester and Brinsbury campuses, each offering a wide range of events and services of which we are able to participate. These include careers interviews with the Positive Futures team, Safe Drive Stay Alive and also many charity events. Those who have opted to be at College full-time also spend their working week studying formal qualifications in core subjects.
In the Littlegreen Hub, all lessons are delivered by Littlegreen staff who continue to implement the school's values and ethos. We believe that by providing the opportunity to shine outside of the classroom, our students will find the transition to life beyond compulsory education easier and more enjoyable.
